Leftover Salmon was joined by special guest guitarist Daniel Donato during their Wednesday night concert in Rochester, New York. Donato time on stage with the veteran jamgrass act at the JCC Rochester included three covers.

Daniel Donato was in town for a gig of his own in Rochester tonight. The Nashville-based guitarist’s Cosmic County outfit will open for Friends Of The Brothers featuring Peter Levin at Rochester’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park Memorial Park this evening. Levin is Donato’s bandmate in the Allman Brothers Band tribute act .

Leftover Salmon pulled into Rochester as part of an East Coast swing that continues this evening at Ardmore Music Hall outside Philadelphia. Donato showed off his talents on the telecaster in augmenting LoS on Noah Lewis’ “Big Railroad Blues,” the New Riders Of The Purple Sage’s “I Don’t Know You” and “Cash On The Barrelhead” by The Louvin Brothers. All three are rare covers in the Leftover Salmon repertoire. “Big Railroad Blues” saw Daniel share lead vocal duties with Vince Herman.
