LCD Soundsystem Live At Ancienne Belgique In 2010

An LCD Soundsystem reunion later this year is happening according to a number of reports. Fans of the band could possibly catch James Murphy & Co. headlining this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (and a reunited Guns N’ Roses), along with appearances at several other major fests around the country and beyond. While the reunion has not been confirmed quite yet, even the mere idea of more live LCD Soundsystem has many pining for the rumors to come to fruition.

For an example of LCD Soundsystem in the live setting, below is pro-shot video of highlights from a show the band performed on May 5, 2010 at Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, Belgium. The appearance was part of the This Is Happening Tour, named after their third and final studio full-length, This Is Happening, which was released a few days after the concert. Many of the songs that would appear on the record, such as “Drunk Girls,” “Pow Pow” and “I Can Change,” made the setlist that night alongside favorites like “Daft Punk Is Playing at My House,” “Losing My Edge” and a show closing take on “New York, I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down” featuring an interpolation of “Empire State of Mind” by JAY Z and Alicia Keys.
