Kyle Hollingsworth Band Covers Umphrey’s McGee In Chicago

As reported, The String Cheese Incident keyboardist Kyle Hollingsworth has a number of Kyle Hollingsworth Band and Umphrey’s McGee keyboardist Joel Cummins were supposed to team up for a trio of shows this past weekend. Cummins was forced to cancel his appearances following the death of his mother, but Hollingsworth gave Joel a nod by covering an Umphrey’s McGee original in Chicago.
Cummins, a Chicago-area native, was supposed to perform a set with Hollingsworth’s band, followed by a regular KHB set and then a collaborative encore during their April 6 show at Chop Shop in the Windy City. Instead, Hollingsworth and openers Crosseyed & Phishless were the only acts to play in Chicago, with Kyle buying a beer for each attendee to make up for the change in plans.
