Kendrick Lamar Heralds ‘Ken & Friends’ Juneteenth Concert In Los Angeles

Kendrick Lamar will take the stage at historic venue The Kia Forum near Los Angeles on June 19 for a Juneteenth concert. Dubbed “The Pop Out Ken & Friends,” the name of the event implies Lamar will be joined by other musicians at the show which has a 4 p.m. start time.
The concert was announced by the rapper in an Instagram story showing the name of the event, its date and location within a California license plate. The show marks a hometown show of sorts for the Compton native.

Kendrick Lamar’s previous concert took place in Mexico City on March 23. Since that time, Lamar engaged in a back-and-forth of diss tracks with fellow rapper Drake. It’s been two years since Kendrick Lamar released Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, his last full-length studio album.
Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, June 7 at 10 a.m. PT. Those with Cash App Cards can use the first nine digits of their card to access a presale today (Thursday, June 6) from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. PT. Purchase Ken & Friends tickets via Ticketmaster.com.
