Charlottesville, Virginia-based band Kendall Street Company shared a cover of “Eyes Of The World.” The reimagining of the Grateful Dead classic is set to land on the group’s forthcoming album, Separation95, due out Fall 2023.

While few details were given on Separation95, press materials noted that “fans can expect a seamless fusion of classic elements and modern creativity, demonstrating Kendall Street Company’s ability to transcend genres and create music that resonates with audiences of all backgrounds.” KSC also noted that both a live music video for “Eyes Of The World” and two more singles are coming soon.

Additionally, the press release touched on the “Eyes Of The World” reimagining. “This reharmonized cover of the timeless Grateful Dead classic showcases the band’s unique musical prowess and serves as a tantalizing preview of what’s to come on their forthcoming full-length album, set to be released in the fall of 2023.”

Although Kendall Street Company’s “Eyes Of The World” has a beat reminiscent of one of those notorious late ‘70s “fast Eyes,” that’s about where any similarities to Dead versions end. KSC certainly put their own spin on the song with their signature blend of seemingly disparate genres. The band’s “Eyes” has a dreamy lounge vibe with elements of garage rock and synthpop.
