Katie Gavin performed a live session with her solo band for NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert series. The set brought to life songs from the MUNA frontwoman’s 2024 debut solo album, What A Relief.
Gavin showcased her musicianship by playing violin, guitar and piano. She was accompanied by Sarab Singh on drums, Eric Radloff on guitar/percussion and Nana Adjoa who played bass, piano and shruti box.

“This whole solo record was very, like, experimental and playful,” Gavin told the intimate audience. “I’m playing a lot of instruments that I don’t really play.”
She and her band worked through the What A Relief tracks “The Baton,” “Sanitized,” “Sketches” and “Aftertaste.”
