Umphrey’s McGee delivered a set at the Resonance Music & Arts Festival on Saturday at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park in Garrettsville, Ohio. The band welcomed frequent collaborator and vocalist Kanika Moore for their debut cover of Lizzo‘s “About Damn Time.”
Dubbed “The Last Dance,” 2023 marked the final iteration of the Resonance Music & Arts Festival. The Resonance finale saw some memorable moments including Umphrey’s McGee guitarist Jake Cinninger and keyboardist Joel Cummins sitting in with Goose.

UM launched their set at the festival with a standalone “The Floor” before stringing together instrumental “Glory” and “I Don’t Know What I Want,” the latter off their latest studio album, 2022’s Asking For A Friend.
The band then coupled the classic “Wappy Sprayberry” with “The Silent Type.” Next, the epic instrumental “Wizard Burial Ground” prefaced more vintage material in “Hajimemashite.”
UM then welcomed bassist Ryan Stasik’s Doom Flamingo bandmate Kanika Moore for Lizzo’s infectiously funky “About Damn Time.” Moore uncorked a characteristically powerful performance on the song off Lizzo’s 2022 album, Special, with spot on accompaniment from the sextet. Umphrey’s McGee went it alone to wrap the set with “Bridgeless.”
