Kamasi Washington & St. Vincent Appear On ‘Jools Holland’

Tuesday’s episode of BBC talk show Later … With Jools Holland featured performances by both Kamasi Washington and St. Vincent. The former played a song from his upcoming new album while the latter performed a recently issued remixed single.
Washington fronted his large ensemble on “Fists Of Fury,” which will be included on the saxophonist’s sophomore album Heaven And Earth. The follow-up to 2015’s The Epic is due out on Young Turks on June 22. Watch Washington’s Later … With Jools Holland performance below:

St. Vincent’s latest studio album MASSEDUCTION was released last October on Loma Vista. Annie Clark’s fifth St. Vincent record included the track “Slow Disco,” which was reimagined as the remix “Fast Slow Disco” that came out last week.
