Jonathan Wilson Shares ‘Me’ Video & Announces Acoustic Tour

Jonathan Wilson issued his third solo album Rare Birds earlier this year. Today, the Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter shared the video for the album track “Me” and detailed an acoustic tour for early next year.

“The song ‘Me’ is a journey into myself, a self questioning piece of music, where I ask “Have I sang of peace at least?”, “Have I helped my fellow man at all?” and “Where will we be when we are?” Wilson shared about the track. “For the video I teamed up with the amazing director Sam Kristofski and we shot on vintage 35 film stock in the Black dunes of Northern New Zealand. Sam’s idea was to have me high on the ridge witnessing my own burial, the use of mirrors and the baking sun were the only production elements, when I finally dug my grave the heavy black sand was almost too intense to be fully buried in, we had to act quick to get the shot.” Watch the video for “Me” below:

Additonally, Wilson will hit the road for a 12-date acoustic run that kicks off on February 17 in Nashville at Third & Lindsley. The East Coast leg of the tour hits Annapolis, Philadelphia, Boston, New York and Pittsburgh. The second half of the trek brings Wilson to Denver’s Bluebird Theater on March 8 and is followed by dates in Boulder, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Rafael, wrapping on March 16 at the Henry Miller Library in Big Sur.
