Jonas Brothers Announce Reunion, Tease New Single In ‘Late Late Show’ Takeover Promo Video
After months of speculation, the Jonas Brothers have confirmed that they will reunite this year. Along with the news, the band has announced they will release a fresh single, “Sucker,” tomorrow (March 1), marking their first new music since the band’s dissolution in 2013. The trio of siblings has also announced that they will take over CBS’s The Late Late Show with James Corden next week from March 4 to March 7 to discuss the reunion.
The group announced their upcoming plans publicly via a clip from The Late Late Show. With Corden behind the wheel for one of his now-iconic Carpool Karaoke segments, the video first shows the beloved television personality picking up Joe Jonas, with the ride getting derailed as Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas unexpectedly tag along for the ride. During the visual, the foursome sing the brother’s breakthrough hit, “Burnin’ Up,” and preview their new song, “Sucker,” which drops tomorrow via Republic Records.
The brothers will join Corden throughout next week on his late-night talk show. Per a press release, “They will join Corden on Monday for an exclusive chat on the couch, telling the full story behind their reunion. Throughout the week, they will take part in sketches, songs and various LATE LATE SHOW segments, including ‘Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts,’ a brand new ‘Carpool Karaoke,’ plus the world premiere musical performance of their new single, ‘Sucker.'”
Tune into CBS next Monday, March 1, through Thursday, March 4, from 12:37 a.m. to 1:37 a.m. ET/PT to catch the trio’s Late Late Show takeover.
The Jonas Brothers established themselves as one of the most highly visible pop groups throughout the late 2000s. Previously active from 2005 to 2013, Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas racked up the accolades during this eight-year stint together, earning three number one albums, selling over 17 million albums and winning numerous high-profile awards. The boy band eventually severed five years ago to pursue individual solo careers.
