Jon Batiste continues his hot streak with the announcement of his Maestro Tour. Following two Grammy wins and performing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl in his hometown of New Orleans, the acclaimed pianist and composer is set to deliver a string of intimate shows on both coasts this spring.

The prolific musician has a new project out as well, following his album Beethoven Blues (Batiste Piano Series, Vol. 1). In conjunction with his National Anthem performance, Batiste released “Star-Spangled Batiste Blues,” which “reimagines the National Anthem through a deeply personal and culturally reflective lens,” as per a press release. “Star-Spangled Batiste Blues” is half of a two-track project titled My United State.

On the forthcoming Maestro Tour, Batiste said, “This is an opportunity for people to hear me explore my art as if they were in my living room with me—in real time. I love the storytelling aspect of these shows as well. It’s not often that I do such intimate and stripped-down performances like this where you can hear and feel every wave of energy as it shifts. I’m excited to share this journey with fans in such an intimate setting, where every performance will be a one-of-a-kind experience—spontaneous, immersive, and deeply personal.”

Batiste will begin The Maestro Tour on April 5 at Citizens Opera House in Boston before heading to New York for two performances at Metropolitan Opera House on April 6, with both a matinee and evening show. The tour continues on April 17 at Fox Theatre in Atlanta. In May, Batiste will take the stage at Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco on May 18, followed by a performance at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles on May 19.

Following various presales, tickets for The Maestro Tour go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 14 at 10 a.m. local.
