John Mayer Guests With Leon Bridges At The Greek In Los Angeles

Soul singer Leon Bridges continued an extensive tour in support of Good Thing at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on Tuesday night. Bridges brought out guitarist and label mate John Mayer for a pair of songs as part of the concert.

Mayer first emerged during Leon’s main set to add to “Mrs.” off Bridges’ recently released Good Thing album. John played a bluesy solo on his Paul Reed Smith to the delight of Leon and the Los Angeles crowd. The guitarist also added accents to the song while Leon Bridges belted out the lyrics to the slow-burning ballad.

Leon Bridges invited John back onstage to end the evening with the upbeat “Mississippi Kisses” from the soul singer’s 2015 debut Coming Home. Bridges introduced members of his band and Mayer as the guitarist took another pair of fierce solos. The Texas native asked the crowd if they “got their monies worth tonight” and received a rousing response.
