John Mayer & Dave Chappelle Announce New Year’s Eve Performance

Earlier this year guitarist John Mayer and comedian Dave Chappelle teamed up for a series of “Controlled Danger” performances. The pair will revive “Controlled Danger” at the biggest venue to host the event yet, The Forum near Los Angeles on December 31.

Look for the New Year’s Eve event to feature standup from Chappelle and a musical set from Mayer. The news of “Controlled Danger” takes away the possibility of a Dead & Company concert on December 31. Dead & Company did perform at the Inglewood, California venue on December 31, 2015 – the only New Year’s Eve concert in the band’s short but eventful history. Earlier this year John Mayer played The Forum and welcomed Ryan Adams for a guest spot as part of the gig.
