John Legend & Sheila E. ‘Go Crazy’ Honoring Minnesota Native Prince At DNC
The performance came ahead of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s speech accepting the Democratic Vice Presidential nomination.

Musical performances continue to entertain at the Democratic National Convention that is underway at Chicago’s United Center. Last night featured a performance by John Legend and Sheila E., who came together to cover Minnesota-native Prince.
Night three of four of the DNC was anchored by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s speech accepting the Democratic Vice Presidential nomination. Prior to the Minnesota Governor taking the United Center stage, Legend and Sheila E performed “Let’s Go Crazy” by Prince, who was born in Minneapolis and was among Minnesota’s most recognizable residents. Sheila E frequently collaborated and performed alongside Prince, who died in 2016 at age 57

On Monday, Jason Isbell and Mickey Guyton provided musical entertainment at the DNC. Tuesday saw DNC performances by Lil’ Jon, Patti LaBelle, Common and Jonathan McReynolds.
Legendary musician Stevie Wonder and country singer Maren Morris were also among the performers Wednesday night at the DNC. The four-day event concludes tonight, Thursday, August 22 with Vice President Kamala Harris scheduled to accept the Democratic Presidential nomination.
