John Fogerty Discusses & Performs ‘Have You Ever Seen The Rain’ On ‘Howard Stern’ In 2015

John Fogerty was Howard Stern’s guest on the October 7, 2015 episode of The Howard Stern Show. Video featuring Fogerty’s solo acoustic performance of the Creedence Clearwater Revival gem “Have You Ever Seen The Rain” was recently shared on the program’s YouTube channel.
The former CCR frontman explained the song was about the issues the band was going through. “The metaphor, of course, of seeing rain come down from a sunshiney day seemed to be what we were,” Fogerty said. “Here we were, we were achieving all our dreams, everything’s great. But instead of being happy we were miserable.
Howard then asked John Fogerty to perform “Have You Ever Seen The Rain,” a song Creedence Clearwater Revival included on their 1970 studio album, Pendulum. Watch Fogerty’s version of the tune below:
