John Fogerty shared a performance of “Centerfield” from centerfield at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles to celebrate his 75th birthday yesterday. The legendary singer-songwriter and guitarist’s backing band consisted of his children — Kelsy, Shane and Tyler.

“Centerfield” is the title track of Fogerty’s 1985 solo album, his first in nearly a decade, and garnered John a Grammy nomination. A lifelong baseball fan, the centerfield experience was a dream come true for Fogerty made all the more special by having his children there to rock out with him.

“It took 75 years and it’s a little different than I envisioned,” Fogerty shared in the notes accompanying the video. “Now on my birthday I get to fulfill my dream playing ‘Centerfield’ in centerfield with my kids on the team. A home run! Hopefully it won’t be long until we are able to have baseball back. Until then… ‘Put me in coach, I’m ready to play!’”

He also busted out his baseball bat guitar. Watch John Fogerty and family perform “Centerfield” from centerfield at Dodger Stadium below:
