John Fogerty and his family shared a rendition of Bill Withers’ “Lean On Me.” The choice cover comes just in time for Father’s Day as part of the family’s Fogerty Factory video series as well as in solidarity with the movement for racial justice and equality.
The Bill Withers classic “Lean On Me” originally appears on the legendary singer-songwriter’s 1972 album, Still Bill. Since its release, the song has become an uplifting anthem for troubled times celebrating human solidarity, a sentiment John Fogerty echoed in a statement accompanying the video, “the time for us to stand together, is now,” he said. The Fogerty family — John, Kelsy, Tyler and Shane — performed the song backlit by a gorgeous sunset.
