Wilco’s Glenn Kotche Joins Joe Russo’s Almost Dead: Pro-Shot Video

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead recently hit Huntington Bank Pavilion At Northerly Island in Chicago where they welcomed drummer Glenn Kotche of the locally based Wilco. Pro-shot video of the collaboration has been shared by Grateful Dead tribute act.

JRAD would first pay tribute to Wilco by covering their song “Hoodoo Voodoo,” a tune from Wilco’s Mermaid Avenue which features Wilco interpreting Woody Guthrie lyrics. Kotche would then join Joe Russo behind the kit for “Drums.” Joe’s drum tech Evan Roque augmented the kit to give both drummers room to maneuver. “Drums” led into “The Other One,” with Kotche staying onboard for the Grateful Dead staple.
