Joe Russo’s Almost Dead ended their set at Bonnaroo 2019 with the pairing of “Such A Night” and “Samson & Delilah.” The band shared pro-shot video of the performances for the “You All Know The Doctor; Dr. John” edition of their ongoing RADTracks series.

Bonnaroo was a fitting place for JRAD to honor Dr. John as the festival took its name from the legendary artist’s 1974 studio album, Desitively Bonnaroo. Dr. John died just nine days before the quintet played the event in Manchester, Tennessee giving even more purpose to the cover. Keyboardist Marco Benevento led the band through “Such A Night” just as he had four times prior dating back to a February 7, 2015 concert in Portland, Maine.

It was then guitarist Scott Metzger who fronted the group on “Samson & Delilah.” Metzger sang lead vocals and took the first solo before passing the baton to Benevento, who in turn handed off to Tom Hamilton for a fiery solo of his own. JRAD kept the “Sunday Sermon” tradition of “Samson & Delilah” as their late-night set on Saturday, June 15 actually ended on Sunday.
