Jerry Garcia & David Grisman Visit The Late Show With David Letterman

Shortly after David Letterman started his run as host of CBS’s The Late Show he brought Jerry Garcia and David Grisman on the show to perform a Grateful Dead classic. It wound up being Garcia’s final Letterman appearance and only visit to The Late Show.
On this day in 1993 Garcia and Grisman teamed with Paul Shaffer and members ofthe CBS Orchestra for a gorgeous take on “Friend Of The Devil.” Watch how it went down:
