Warren Haynes, Jimmy Page, Rod Stewart & Many Others Honor Jeff Beck

Jeff Beck was undoubtedly among the most influential and revered guitar players and the widespread response to his death by fellow musicians and others has been profound. Tributes to Beck have flooded social media following the news of his sudden passing from bacterial meningitis at age 78.

Warren Haynes wrote a touching tribute citing Beck as one of his favorite guitarists. Beck’s former Yardbirds bandmate Jimmy Page called Beck a “six-string warrior” who “could channel music from the ethereal.” Beck’s former Jeff Beck Group bandmates, Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood also shared tributes to their late friend and collaborator.

Perhaps indicative of Beck’s influence on guitar playing, Gibson, Fender and Epiphone were also among the tributes posted in Beck’s honor. Dozens of others posted in response to Beck’s passing, Jack White, John Mayer, Steve Kimock, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton and Mark Knopfler among the many who shared condolences for the beloved guitarist.
