Jason Isbell & Sturgill Simpson Among Tibet House 2019 Benefit Lineup Additions

As reported, the 2019 Tibet House US Benefit Concert will be held at Carnegie Hall in New York City on February 7. Organizers of the event, which supports Tibet House’s mission of preserving Tibetan culture, recently expanded the lineup for the 32nd annual show.

Stephen Colbert, Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell, Nathaniel Rateliff and Laurie Anderson have joined the lineup for the benefit concert. Isbell noted on Twitter that, “In order to continue to challenge myself, I’ll be performing an experimental guitar set, not my usual songs.” He also mentioned the concert comes on his seven-year date.

Philip Glass will hold down his usual position as artistic director for “an evening full of amazing music and one-night-only collaborations. Margo Price, Jon Batiste, Bernard Sumner (New Order), Chris Robinson Brotherhood and Tenzin Choegyal are also aboard for the benefit concert. Tickets are on sale now via the venue’s website.
