Jason Isbell Reunites With Drive-By Truckers In Nashville

Last night Drive-By Truckers held a concert at The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The show at the historic venue featured a sit-in by former DBT member Jason Isbell.

Frontman Patterson Hood and the Truckers are touring in support of last year’s acclaimed album American Band and dotted their career-spanning setlist with songs from the LP, including the show opening “Guns Of Umpqua.” Current Nashville area local and former DBT guitarist Jason Isbell emerged to join Hood, guitarist Mike Cooley and the rest of the Truckers mid-set for a rendition of “Heathens” which appeared on the Truckers’ 2003 album Decoration Day.

DBT also pulled off covers of Bruce Springsteen’s “State Trooper” and Prince’s “Sign O’ The Times.” They closed the show with a take on Neil Young’s “Rockin’ In The Free World.” Below watch footage of Isbell reuniting with Drive-By Truckers on “Heathens” captured by Nick Graham
