Jason Isbell Discusses New Album ‘Reunions’ On ‘CBS This Morning’

Jason Isbell recently appeared on CBS This Morning. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and guitarist discussed his upcoming album Reunions, out tomorrow (May 15), the impact of the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic and more.
About Reunions Isbell related how his past seeped into the songwriting, namely his struggles with alcoholism, and also talked about the sometimes contentious recording process. “We could have had a better time but I don’t think we could have made a better album,” he said. Jason also spoke to the loss of friend and collaborator John Prine to COVID-19 and how his 4-year-old daughter misses being on tour with him and Amanda Shires.
