Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit Perform ‘Cover Me Up’ At Ryman: Pro-Shot Video

Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit shared pro-shot video featuring their performance of “Cover Me Up” from this year’s residency at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The video was filmed on October 18 during the first of the group’s seven 2019 shows at the historic venue.
“Cover Me Up” was played at each show of the residency. The song from Isbell’s 2013 studio album, Southeastern, closed out the band’s main set on the first night of the run and was the penultimate tune of the main set every other night. “Let’s do some romance for these folks,” Jason said before starting “Cover Me Up.” He introduced his wife and band mate, Amanda Shires and noted she opened the show at the end of the song.
