Jason Isbell Confirms Winter Tour

Singer-songwriter Jason Isbell will soon hit the road for a lengthy Fall Tour in support of his new album, Something More Than Free. Isbell already has his eyes on 2016 as he’s just added a batch of winter dates to his touring itinerary.

Jason Isbell’s Winter Tour kicks off on February 11 with two performances at ACL Live at Moody Theater in Austin and features stops in Chicago, Boston and New York City. The guitarist will be backed by his longtime band The 400 Unit, featuring Derry DeBorja (keys) Chad Gamble (drums), Jimbo Hart (bass) and Sadler Vaden (guitar). Celebrated duo Shovels & Rope will open the newly-added dates.

Isbell has also unveiled the second video in his Building The Song video series, which features in studio footage of the creative process in action as he and his bandmates created and recorded each song on Something More Than Free. The new video features the building of the album’s title track:
