Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit Performs For The Current

A trio of Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit performances in Minneapolis captured by The Current spanning 2016 – 2019 have been compiled and shared by the Minnesota Public Radio Station. The release of the video comes in honor of the third anniversary of Isbell & The 400 Unit issuing the animated video for The Nashville Sound track “If We Were Vampires.”

Fittingly, a performance of “If We Were Vampires” from a July 2018 session at The Forum kicks off the compilation. Isbell is accompanied on the song by his wife, fiddler Amanda Shires as well as guitarist Sadler Vaden.

The same lineup of Isbell, Shires and Vaden’s version of “Flagship” comes next. Jason, Amanda and Sadler performed the track from Something More Than Free during a 2016 in-studio set for The Current. It’s then back to The Nashville Sound as the video ends with a full-band take on “Hope The High Road” recorded at The Armory on June 14, 2019.
