James Casey Jazzes Up ‘Christmas Time Is Here’ With Latest Holiday Single

Trey Anastasio Band saxophonist James Casey shared a cover of “Christmas Time Is Here.” The track is set for Casey’s upcoming holiday EP, A Little Something For Everyone, due out digitally on December 5 via 12/23 Records.
Casey announced the holiday benefit EP, which is also his debut solo record, on November 1. The saxophonist is currently undergoing treatment for colon cancer and will donate proceeds from A Little Something For Everyone to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance and Eastern Virginia Medical School’s HOPES Clinic to fund colon cancer screenings for the uninsured. Limited edition vinyl sold out quickly after going on sale last week.
James shared the sole original on the EP, “Christmaphunk,” last week and now follows with his take on the beloved classic “Christmastime Is Here” penned by Vince Guaraldi and Lee Mendelson for the beloved 1965 holiday special A Charlie Brown Christmas. James enlisted guitarist Ian Faquini on the cover.
