Jam Cruise Announces Jazz Lounge & Special Sets

Jam Cruise 13 will feature the inauguration of the Jam Cruise Jazz Lounge in which hosts will present jazz-oriented improv in the Golden Jazz Bar aboard the MSC Divina. The Jazz Lounge comes in addition to one of the event’s signature features -the Jam Room.

Today, Jam Cruise organizers have announced the hosts for the inaugural Jazz Lounge sessions. John Scofield, Snarky Puppy, Karl Denson, Grant Green Jr. and Kim Dawson have been enlisted to host the nightly sessions in the Golden Jazz Bar.

In other Jam Cruise 13 news, Bass Mafia featuring David Murphy and Marc Brownstein will perform a special set aboard the boat as will Magic Gravy, a band made up of Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz of ALO and Dave Watts & Garrett Sayers of The Motet. Furthermore, Jam Cruise organizers have announced “Party Animal” will be one of the trip’s Theme Nights joining the previously-announced “Metallic Night.”

Jam Cruise 13 features an impressive array of jam scene favorites including Umphrey’s McGee, Pretty Lights with his live band, The Word, Galactic, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Lettuce, Snarky Puppy, The Revivalists and many more. The MSC Divina departs The Port Of Miami on January 6 and will stop in Roatan, Honduras and Costa Maya, Mexico before returning to Miami on January 11.
