Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey Announces Live Album & Tour

Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey will issue a new live album, entitled The Battle For Earth via Royal Potato Family on September 4. The band has also unveiled a Fall Tour in support of the new release. The Battle For Earth was recorded last year over two nights at Dazzle in Denver. It will be released digitally as well as a limited edition comic book and includes JFJO classics like “Tetherball Triumph” as well as newer cuts from their most recent studio LP, Worker.
JFJO also revealed a number of tour dates beginning with three shows in Oklahoma including a stop at WestFest in Oklahoma City, on September 19. The trio opens for
Thundercat in Tulsa on September 22 and hits up Taloa Music Fest in Guthrie on September 26. In October the band plays two nights at Oddly Correct in Kansas City on the 9th and 10th. They will also appear with
Youngblood Brass Band in New Orleans on October 16 and Albuquerque, New Mexico on October 22. They team up with
Skerik for two nights at The 1Up in Denver on October 23 and 24, Doc’s Lab in San Francisco on October 30 and 31 (also with
Chris Noonan), Earshot Jazz Festival at The Royal Room in Seattle on November 5 and 6 (also with
Wil Blades and
DJ Logic) and wrap things up on November 7 in Portland, Oregon at The Goodfoot Lounge.
