Jack White recently announced an extensive tour in support of his forthcoming Boarding House Reach LP. According to a report from NME, Jack White has banned concertgoers from using their phones at his headlining shows and will use the Yondr service to ensure compliance.

NPR quotes a statement mentioning the upcoming concerts will “phone-free” with “No photos, video or audio recording devices allowed.” The Jack White team adds, “We think you’ll enjoy looking up from your gadgets for a little while and experience music and our shared love of it IN PERSON.”

As mentioned, Yondr will be used for all concertgoers. The statement from Team Jack White says, “Upon arrival at the venue, all phones and other photo or video-capturing gizmos will be secured in a Yondr pouch that will be unlocked at the end of the show. You keep your pouch-secured phone on you during the show and, if needed, can unlock your phone at any time in a designated Yondr Phone Zone located in the lobby or concourse.”

There will be ways for fans and concertgoers to look back at the shows, “For those looking to do some social media postings, let us help you with that. Our official tour photographer will be posting photos and videos after the show at jackwhiteiii.com and the new Jack White Live Instagram account @officialjackwhitelive. Repost our photos & videos as much as you want and enjoy a phone-free, 100% human experience.”

Jack White issues Beach House Reach on March 23 via Third Man Records and launches the tour in his hometown of Detroit on April 19.

White’s last solo studio album was 2014’s Lazaretto. Watch the video for the Boarding House Reach lead single “Connected By Love” below:
