Singer-songwriter Jack Johnson completed a run of shows featuring support from Portland, Oregon’s Fruition last night in Nashville. Fruition sat-in with Jack Johnson and his band throughout the run and made an unplanned appearance with the Hawaii-based artist over the weekend at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
The members of Fruition were on the way from Dallas to New Orleans for a late night show on Saturday in the Crescent City, when they received a call from Jack Johnson’s team asking them to sit-in at the Fairgrounds. Fruition booked it to New Orleans in time to guest with Johnson on “Big Sur” and “Breakdown” as per Jambands.com. Later that night, Zach Gill from Jack Johnson’s band and ALO joined Fruition at the House Of Blues on his own “Handy Man” and a cover of Tom Petty’s “Runnin’ Down A Dream.”
