Each year, impresario Michael Dorf puts together an eclectic and well-rounded lineup of performers to pay tribute to a legend at New York City’s historic Carnegie Hall. Past performances have honored the likes of Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John and The Who. As we reported, Carnegie Hall has announced the 2015 installment will pay tribute to The Music Of David Byrne & Talking Heads on March 23. Today, we have the initial lineup which spans many genres.

The Roots, Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Rufus Wainwright and Steve Earle and O.A.R. are among the acts set to cover the music of Byrne and the Talking Heads at the tribute. Perry Farrell, Alexis Krauss of Sleigh Bells and Beth Orton are also aboard for the tribute. Look for more of the 20 acts who will play Carnegie Hall on March 23 to be announced in the coming weeks.

VIP packages and tickets are available via the event’s website.

Update: Bebel Gilberto and Forro In The Dark are also set to play the tribute. Plus, Rolling Stone’s piece reveals Todd Snider will perform as well. Furthermore, Dorf has announced Cibo Matto is the latest addition to the lineup.
