Supergroup I’m With Her shared video of their cover of the late great John Prine’s “Unwed Fathers.” The performance came during the recent Prine tribute concert at Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium.
“Unwed Fathers” originally appears on Prine’s 1984 album, Aimless Love. For their performance of the tune, I’m With Her’s Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz and Aoife O’Donovan delivered the tune around a single mic. While Jarosz and O’Donovan played guitars with Watkin on fiddle, the trio performed most of “Unwed Fathers” virtually acapella, showing off the harmonies the group is known for.
