Iggy Pop Shares New Single ‘James Bond’

Legendary rocker Iggy Pop will issue a new album entitled Free via Loma Vista Recordings on September 6. Pop has unveiled the LP’s second single, “James Bond.”

Pop is joined on “James Bond” by fellow vocalist Faith Vern, trumpeter Leron Thomas, bassist Robin Sherman, drummer Thomas Glass and guitarist Ari Teitel. “I don’t know what she’s up to exactly, but the tables seem to be turning, and she’s taking over. Well, why not? I’ll try anything once,” said Pop in a statement about his latest single. “I’ve never had more fun singing a lyric. Faith’s reading is so loaded, and Leron’s production and trumpet along with the band swings like crazy.”
