Phish Bassist Mike Gordon Tops Lineup Of All-Star Vermont Musicians For Bob Dylan Tribute Benefit Concert
Bob Wagner, Kat Wright, Ray Paczkowski, Tessa Gordon, Clint Bierman, Seth Yacovone and Josh Weinstein are among others set to perform.

This past weekend Phish raised over $3.5 million for flood recovery efforts in Vermont and Upstate New York by performing two benefit concerts at SPAC in Saratoga Springs, New York. Bassist Mike Gordon isn’t done helping the community in his home state bounce back from devastating rainstorms and flooding as he is part of an all-star lineup of Vermont musicians set to perform at Hug Your Farmer: Hard Rain at Burlington’s The Flynn on Thursday, September 7. The event celebrating the music of Bob Dylan will feature a house band led by Bob Wagner that also includes Ray Paczkowski (Trey Anastasio Band), Clint Bierman and Peter Day (The Grift), Josh Weinstein (Kat Wright), Steve Hadeka, Corey Wilhelm (Bombino), Matt LaRocca (Vermont Symphony Orchestra) and more.

Mike Gordon is among special guests participating along with his daughter, Tessa Gordon, as well as Kat Wright, Seth Yacovone, Josh Panda,Dwight & Nicole (Dwight Ritcher and Nicole Nelson), The Sweet Remains, Matt Flinner, Brett Hughes, Matt Hagen and others to be announced soon.
All proceeds from the concert will go towards The Vermont Community Foundation’s VT Flood Response & Recovery Fund. Donations can be made via HugYourFarmer.com. “Additionally, a generous friend of the foundation has offered to match donations from the event up to $100k,” as per Hug Your Farmer organizers.
Hug Your Farmer was first held in 2010 to raise money for Pete’s Greens after the organic vegetable farm’s barn was destroyed by a fire. Organizers Select have since presented five additional benefit concerts, one of which was a livestreamed affair put on during the pandemic. Over $120k for Vermont farmers has been raised.
