All proceeds from Forward, Children will go to the Durham Public Schools Foundation as schools struggle to cope with the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak. Paramount in that effort is making sure that children who relied on school meals will not go hungry. Hiss Golden Messenger mastermind M.C. Taylor is the son of two teachers, the spouse of a teacher and taught briefly himself after receiving a graduate degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Taylor’s two children are both in elementary school. “It’s my duty as a dad of students and the spouse of a teacher,” Taylor said in a statement, “to give what I can.”
