High Sierra Music Festival Announces Initial 2018 Lineup

One of the scene’s oldest and most prestigious festivals, the High Sierra Music Festival, returns to Plumas-Sierra Fairgrounds in Quincy, California on July 5 – 8. Today, organizers confirmed the first batch of artists set to perform at the 28th annual event.

Colorado jam titans The String Cheese Incident will play two nights of High Sierra ’18. Sturgill Simpson, Lettuce, The Wood Brothers, The California Honeydrops and Turkuaz are also among the acts at the top of the initial lineup revealed today. Additional bands set to perform at this year’s High Sierra include Lotus, Antibalas, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Spafford, Lebo & Friends, The Barr Brothers and Fruition. The first High Sierra Music Festival was held July 4 – 7, 1991 in Leland Meadows, California and the famed event has been held either on July 4th weekend or close to it each year since. A community of festivalgoers and bands has formed around High Sierra as it moved from Leland Meadows to Bear Valley to its current home in Quincy, which has hosted the festival each year since 1998 with the exception of 1999. In addition to plenty of music across many stages over the course of four days, attendees can also enjoy High Sierra’s intimate artist “playshops,” an interactive Family area, daily parades, multiple food and beverage options, yoga, pilates and dance classes. Music runs from the morning until late in the night each day.

Advance 4-Day Passes are on sale now and will remain available through April 2. Full on-sale, including FestivALL VIP Packages, RV Passes and Parking Passes will go on sale on this coming Tuesday, February 6 at 10:00 a.m. PT.
