High Sierra Announces 2016 Phase 2 Lineup

The 2016 High Sierra Music Festival will be held at Plumas-Sierra Fairgrounds in Quincy, California on June 30 – July 3. Today, organizers revealed the second phase of the lineup for the long-running multi-day event following last month’s phase 1 announcement.

The Chris Robinson Brotherhood will return to High Sierra this summer as will legendary bluegrass act The Del McCoury Band. New Orleans guitarist Anders Osborne, singer/mandolinist/guitarist Sierra Hull, funk-fusion band Kung Fu and Terrapin Crossroads favorites Scott Law & Ross James’ Cosmic Twang are also among today’s additions. ALO guitarist Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz will play a Lebo & Friends set backed by Jay Lane, Robert Walter, Lesley Grant and Garrett Sayers, while Papa Mali will perform at the festival as part of The Rhythm Council. Other High Sierra ’16 additions announced today include Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, Nolatet, Manic Focus, Ripe, SunSquabi and The Dip.

Last year HSMF celebrated its 25th anniversary with record-breaking attendance. All the acts announced today join previously revealed High Sierra ’16 acts such as Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Thievery Corporation, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Greensky Bluegrass, Lettuce, North Mississippi Allstars, DRKWAV, The Motet, ALO, The New Mastersounds and TAUK.
