Herbie Hancock Talks Tour With Chick Corea

Tomorrow night jazz legends Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea will once again embark on a tour together. Prior to the duo’s first gig in Seattle at the Paramount Theatre, Hancock spoke with OKP TV and Revive about his past touring experiences with Corea. Hancock also discussed almost playing with Jimi Hendrix and the time he played the Victor Young standard, “Stella By Starlight,” for Miles Davis

The shows will see Corea, 73 and Hancock, 74 –who first collaborated together as members of Miles Davis’ backing band in the 1960s –performing alone together on both acoustic grand pianos and synthesizers. Tickets for the tour opener in Seattle are on sale here
