2016 hasn’t been a good year for many out there, but count Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder as one that has bucked the trend. Not only has Pearl Jam strung together one impressive concert after another, Vedder finally got to witness his beloved Chicago Cubs win the World Series. Eddie Vedder was born in Evanston, Illinois on this date in 1964. Vedder was brought on board to lead Pearl Jam by Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard and Mike McCready in 1990. The next year Pearl Jam released their debut album, Ten, and the Seattle rockers have since become one of the biggest acts in the rock world. Earlier this week Eddie and Pearl Jam capped off a fantastic 2016 with word of their upcoming induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.

In 2006, My Morning Jacket opened a number of shows both stateside and in Europe for Seattle rockers Pearl Jam. At many of those shows, Vedder helped MMJ kick off their set with gorgeous renditions of The Band classic “It Makes No Difference.” One of those instances took place in Pistoia, Italy on September 20, 2006. The best fan-shot footage of the Eddie/MMJ “It Makes No Difference” comes from that show courtesy of PearlJamOnline.it. Watch how it went down:

Eddie also teamed with the Louisville rockers on a hard-hitting cover of The Who’s “A Quick One (While He’s Away)” on September 19, 2006 in Turin, Italy. Watch pro-shot footage of that performance:
