Hangtown Music Festival 2016 Spotify Playlist

Next weekend, the sixth annual Hangtown Music Festival, the event formerly known as Hangtown Halloween Ball, will be held at El Dorado County Fairgrounds in Placerville, California. Host band Railroad Earth will perform all three nights along with a slew of other acts that make up this week’s Saturday Stream Spotify Playlist.

Along with RRE’s opening “Hangtown Ball,” the playlist below features nearly all of the acts heading to Placerville October 20 – 23. The collection features songs by Medeski, Martin & Wood, The Infamous Stringdusters, The Wood Brothers, Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers, Boombox, Twiddle, TAUK, Dead Winter Carpenters, Pimps of Joytime and others. There’s also a track by Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe who will present a tribute to Prince including a full performance of The Purple One’s Dirty Mind featuring Angelo Moore from Fishbone.

Also represented is guitarist Steve Kimock who will be at Hangtown with his band made up of Jeff Chimenti, Bobby Vega, Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, Leslie Mendelson and Wally Ingram.
