Guns N’ Roses debuted a cover of AC/DC’s “Back In Black” last night during a concert held in Seville, Spain. The band’s second new AC/DC cover in as many stops on their European Tour came early in Tuesday’s show at Estadio Benito Villamarin.
GN’R previously unveiled their take on AC/DC’s “Walk All Over You” at the tour opener in Portugal on Saturday night. While frontman Axl Rose never sang “Walk All Over You” during his 2016 stint touring with AC/DC as vocalist Brian Johnson recovered from health issues, “Back In Black” was a staple of AC/DC’s setlists at the time.
AC/DC originally issued “Back In Black” as the title track to their 1980 studio album. GN’R premiered their cover of the song in the seven-slot last night. Otherwise, Rose and company stuck to a similar setlist in Seville as they did on Saturday in Oeiras, Portugal. The 26-song performance featured a bevy of classics, a handful of deep cuts and a few choice covers. Guns N’ Roses fit their first 2022 version of Jimmy Webb’s “Wichita Lineman” within the encore.
