Greensky Bluegrass began Fall Tour 2019 on Thursday night at the Rialto Theater in Tucson. The band welcomed a crew member to contribute to a song and performed a rare Beatles cover as part of last night’s concert.

The quintet opened in Tucson with a cover of the Beatles’ “Get Back” marking their first performance of the song since January and second since 2016. Next up was “Clinch Mountain Backstep” and a rendition of “What You Need” featuring crew member Guido Batista on vibraslap. Oldie “Into The Rafters” followed “Room Without A Roof” and led into “Do It Alone” from their 2019 LP, All For Money. Staples “All Four” and “Demons” and a cover of Bruce Hornsby’s “King Of The Hill” closed out the first frame of the tour.

GSBG went with “Miss September” from 2016’s Shouted, Written Down & Quoted to start the second set in Tucson. A run of “Worried About The Weather,” “Nine Days” and “Send Me Your Address From Heaven” came next. The five-piece then covered Willie Nelson’s “I’m A Worried Man” for just the fifth time since 2012. The set concluded with a bevy of fan favorites including “Just To Lie,” “Bottle Dry,” “Leap Year” and “Bring Out Your Dead.” Greensky said farewell with a cover of John Hartford’s “Steam Powered Aeroplane” as the encore.
