Greensky Bluegrass rolled into The Fillmore Philadelphia on Saturday night and were joined by harpist Mikaela Davis whose band opened the concert. Local guitarist Tom Hamilton (Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Ghost Light) was also brought out for an extensive second set sit-in.

During the first set, dobro player Anders Beck jokingly told the Philly audience it was Eagles Night ad the setlist would be entirely made up of Eagles songs while mandolinist Paul Hoffman playfully teased ā€œTake It Easyā€ and ā€œTequila Sunrise.ā€ The first set ended with Mikaela Davis playing harp on a sublime offering of ā€œLiving Over.ā€

Late in the second set, ā€œThe Liberty Bell Of Music, Tom Hamiltonā€ emerged to the Philly anthem ā€œEye Of The Tigerā€ made famous in the film Rocky and then proceeded to add electric guitar to the spirited introduction. Hamilton, whose new project MORE! recently debuted at Playing In The Sand, stuck around for the rest of the second set, sitting in on ā€œPast my Primeā€ and ā€œRun or Die.ā€

Hamilton was also tapped for the ā€œWho Is Frederico?ā€ encore that brought an end to the concert. Click through the posts below for video clips of Saturday’s show:
