Greensky Bluegrass Releases ‘The Leap Year Sessions: Volume Three’

Greensky Bluegrass released The Leap Year Sessions: Volume Three today. The live collection documents the jamgrass quintet’s fifth and sixth of eight The Leap Year Sessions webcasts the band delivered in the summer and fall of 2020 from The Pageant in St. Louis.

Greensky Bluegrass released The Leap Year Sessions: Volume One in March. JamBase was pleased to preview the collection with “Windshield.” The band followed with Volume Two in April.

Volume Three begins with Greensky’s September 4 performance which saw GSBG kicking things off with “Wish I Didn’t Know” into “It’s Not Mine Anymore,” both off the band’s latest studio album, 2019’s All For Money. The set also featured All For Money’s “Cathedral Eyes” and set closer, “Courage For The Road.”

Greensky’s September 11 Leap Year Session got underway with Townes Van Zandt’s “White Freight Liner Blues” and also saw the GSBG debut of Hot Rize’s “Shadows In My Room.” Additionally, the set featured covers from Bob Dylan, Paul Simon and more.
