Greensky Bluegrass brought their 2025 fall tour to The Bama Theatre in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on Tuesday. The string band unveiled a fitting cover of the Grateful Dead‘s “Alabama Getaway.”

The Grateful Dead debuted “Alabama Getaway” on November 4, 1979 in Providence, Rhode Island, as per JerryBase. The band would go on to perform the song 142 times and included “Alabama Getaway” on their 1980 album Go To Heaven.
