Grateful Dead Crew Member Steve Parish Returns To ‘Comes A Time’ Podcast

Longtime Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia crew member Steve Parish returned to Osiris Media Network’s Comes A Time podcast. Steve rejoined hosts Oteil Burbridge and Mike Finoia for the first episode of 2022 after appearing on the podcast in 2020.

As he did in 2020, Parish shared his unique perspective as a member of the Grateful Dead family. Steve’s return to Comes A Time saw him dispelling misconceptions of life on the road, discussing the difficulty of being a professional musician as well as Jerry Garcia’s pre-show ritual. Parish also talked about his uncle, Mitchell Parish — who composed songs for legends like Duke Ellington and Hoagy Carmichael — the return of his Bob Weir-named backstage band the Ass Bites From Hell and more.
