Grahame Lesh continues the tradition of celebrating his dad and late Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh‘s birthday at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. Following tribute concerts at the renowned rock palace last year, Grahame is bringing “Unbroken Chain: A Celebration of the Life & Music of Phil Lesh” back to The Cap in 2026.
In true Phil Lesh & Friends fashion, each show will feature different lineups for the four concerts beginning on March 12 and running through what would have been Phil’s 86th birthday on March 15. The legendary musician passed away on October 25, 2024 at 84.
The March 12 lineup features Daniel Donato, Luther Dickinson, Trevor Weekz, Aron Magner, Cory Henry, John Molo, Alex Koford, Mikaela Davis and Amy Helm.
March 13 will see collaborations between Daniel Donato, Oteil Burbridge, Bill Payne, Jason Crosby, Tony Leone, Mikaela Davis, Amy Helm and Maggie Rose.
Playing in the band on March 14 are Rick Mitarotonda, Oteil Burbridge, Holly Bowling, Jason Crosby, John Molo, Nathan Graham, Amy Helm, Kanika Moore and Maggie Rose.
Phil’s birthday lineup on March 15 includes Dave Schools, Stanley Jordan, Steve Molitz, Holly Bowling, Tony Leone, Cody Dickinson, Kanika Moore and Amy Helm.

Grahame Lesh took to social media to announce the shows and lineups. Read a note from Grahame below:
“I am honored to invite you all to UNBROKEN CHAIN: A Celebration of the Life & Music of Phil Lesh. Please join me & my family in celebrating my dad Phil with 4 shows on at the wonderful Capitol Theatre March 12-15 during what would have been his 86th birthday weekend.
“We had a beautiful, emotional celebration at the Cap last March, which established such a beautiful new tradition at a place that has become like a 2nd home for my dad and my family in the past 13 years or so. I’m so grateful to all of these beautiful musicians on these lineups – my dad’s friends (& Friends!), bandmates, collaborators, and this year some wonderful musicians who never got to play with my dad but are an integral part of keeping this music moving forward. We have folks who played extensively in Phil & Friends in 1998 and in 2024 joining us, and of course many special guests, some of whom go back even farther than that!
“Last year at the Cap, we raised over $250,000 for charity, and we’re hoping to do a lot more good this year as well. Proceeds from these shows will go to the wonderful Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, which helps support musicians and music industry professionals with financial assistance in times of need.”
