Gov’t Mule‘s Summer Tour continued on Tuesday night at Artpark Amphitheater in Lewiston, New York. Once again Galactic opened and once again members of the New Orleans funk act sat-in with Warren Haynes & Co.

Mule played one long set on Tuesday. The band opened with “Hammer & Nails” along with a “Mule” > “Who Do You Love?” > Mule sequence. Gov’t Mule welcomed Galactic horn players Ben Ellman and Shamarr Allen to the stage for covers of “I’d Rather Go Blind” (Etta James) and “Spanish Moon” (Little Feat). The rest of the set featured a career-spanning mix of originals including “Broke Down On The Brazos,” “Stone Cold Rage” and “Blind Man In The Bark” with a few choice covers such as The Doors’ “Riders On The Storm.”

Ben Ellman and Shamarr Allen joined Gov’t Mule when the quartet returned to the stage for the evening’s encore. Ellman and Allen added horn blasts to one of Warren’s signature songs, “Soulshine.” Watch the collaborative encore captured by Izzy Blue:
